This drink is what you should be enjoying during the winter holidays!! It is perfect for parties, beautifully salty and sweet, and definitely festive in color!
:: Ingredients ::
GINGER SYRUP
1 inch Ginger, freshly sliced
1/2 cup Honey
1/2 tsp Cheyanne Pepper
10 Mint Leaves
1 1/2 cup Water
PALOMA
1/4 cup Grapefruit Juice
1/4 cup Pomegranate Juice
4 tsp Ginger Syrup
2 tsp Lime Juice
1 shot Tequila
1 shot Ginger Beer
SALTED RIM
4 tbsp Margarita Salt
4tbsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Cheyanne Pepper
** 1 tsp Lemon Zest ** (optional but perfect for the Christmas look)
SIMPLE SYRUP
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Sugar
:: Instructions ::
Step 1 – In a small pan add all the ginger syrup ingredients, bring to a boil, and shut of
Step 2 – Mix until honey is dissolved and set aside
Step 3 – Mix the salted rim ingredients and set aside
Step 4 – In another small pan add the simple syrup ingredients and when the sugar has dissolved turn off burner and let cool
Step 5 – Dip the rim of your cup in the simple syrup, then in the salted rim mix
Step 6 – In a drink mixer add ice, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, ginger syrup, lime juice, and tequila. Cover & mix
Step 7 – Pour mixture with ice into cup, top with ginger beer, and garnish with a slice of lime
